Facebook has a lot of features to offer to its users. From Newsfeed, Timeline, Events, Video calling, to Live streaming, the features list never seem to end. One important feature from that list is Check In, which allows the users to add a location to their post. Using it you can share your location with friends and family on Facebook. The post can be anything like a quote, picture, or an album.

It’s a great feature that Facebook has to offer. But sometimes sharing your location on a public platform like Facebook could result in a breach of privacy since anyone can use it to track you. So, keeping your privacy in mind, you might want to remove a location from any of your posts on Facebook. Here, you will find the step-by-step process to do so.

Remove Location From A Post On Facebook

You can remove a location using the Facebook website or its Android/iOS app. Below we have mentioned the steps for both platforms.

Note: You can’t remove a location if you are not the owner/publisher of that post. For instance, you won’t be able to remove a location from another person’s posts where you’re tagged. But, you can always remove the tag.
