For this article, I’ll show you how to use three parental control apps, Qustodio, mSpy, and uMobix, to monitor incoming and outgoing calls and text messages from another phone or your computer. 

Qustodio

Qustodio is a parental control app that’s beloved by many parents thanks to its bevy of features, easy-to-navigate UI, and child-friendly design. Many parental monitoring apps can sometimes forget that they’re designed to help keep kids safe. They’re not just built to help parents watch their children like a hawk, but it seems that Qustodio kept that in mind with its design. 

In regards to features, Qustodio offers quite a few that can help parents not only monitor their children but also be proactive in protecting them. 

Qustodio has a Daily Time Limits feature where you can set your child’s daily screen time allowance for the day. You can also restrict access to the target phone during specific times of the day, such as when they should be sleeping. Qustodio also offers Web Filtering to help you curate what your child sees online. 

This monitoring and filtering are not only limited to the web either. With Qustodio, you can monitor apps on your child’s device as well as block or allow access to those apps. You can also set time limits for select apps as well. 

No parental monitoring app is complete without location tracking and Qustodio is no different. In addition to a GPS tracking system, there’s also a Panic Button that your child can use in the case of an emergency. 

The panic button will send a notification to trusted contacts whenever your child presses it so that if you can’t reach them, another trusted contact is able to.

mSpy

mSpy is one of the most renowned spy apps on the market. The access it gives you to a target phone is almost unparalleled. This is what makes it such a great option to track phone calls and text messages. However, what makes mSpy great is that its features don’t just stop at calls and text message tracking, it offers loads of other features too. 

When you subscribe to mSpy, you’re able to view almost all of the data on the target phone. mSpy allows you to view the media files on your child’s phone. This way you can keep track of the type of media they’ve downloaded or are sharing. 

mSpy also has a Keylogger feature that tracks all of the things typed on the mobile device This can also come in handy to help your child find forgotten email addresses or passwords, take my word for it.  

As mentioned before, a parental control app is nothing without GPS tracking and mSpy is no different. On top of being able to view your child’s GPS location, mSpy also has a geofence feature that you can use to create safe and forbidden zones. 

There’s also a Wi-Fi tracker that can also help with determining your child’s location. These can all come in handy for keeping track of your child as well as locating them in case of an emergency.

mSpy also offers social media monitoring, as well. This means you can monitor your child’s social media feed, chats, and more. While many parents try to keep their children off of social media, kids can sometimes be sneaky. So monitoring their activity is one way to reach a compromise. 

Lastly, mSpy allows for tracking the calls and text messages sent and received on your child’s device. It allows you to view the number that was called when it was called and the length of the call.

Here’s how to use mSpy to intercept text messages and monitor phone calls. I wrote this tutorial with the assumption that you’ve already subscribed to mSpy and linked the target phone to your account.

1. Log onto your mSpy dashboard then click Text Messages to view the SMS messages on your child’s device. 

2. From the list of messages displayed, click one to view its contents in full. 

3. Now you can view the text message in full. 

4. After viewing the text messages, tap the call option to view the incoming and outgoing calls on your child’s cell phone.

Another terrific spying app that you can use as a call and text message tracker is uMobix. This spy app is relatively new to the market, but it offers some impressive features that can beat out some of the best spy apps out there. 

First up, uMobix offers standard GPS location monitoring features. You can use this to view the location of your child’s device (which not only works for finding your child but also locating it if it’s lost or stolen.) Similar to mSpy, you can also use uMobix to view the WiFi networks that your child’s cell phone is connected to. 

You can also use uMobix to view your app activity on your child’s cell phone. This feature also allows you to block an app, which can work great for protecting your child from any malicious apps or inappropriate content. 

uMobix has a keylogger and a screen recorder feature. The screen recorder takes random snapshots of the target phone’s screen and sorts them. Therefore, you can view screenshots of social media apps, YouTube, and other apps on a cell phone. 

There’s a social media monitoring feature that, as mentioned, makes use of the screenshots that the screen recorder has taken. This is a way to make sure that your child’s social media messages are appropriate. uMobix monitors a long list of messaging and social media apps including Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Reddit, and Discord. 

When it comes to tracking phone calls and text messages, uMobix has that covered too. You can use it to view the call logs on the target device, as well as view all the text messages in full. uMobix also has an exclusive 10% discount available for its call tracker as well as a 10% discount for its SMS tracker. 

uMobix also has an Audio Stream feature that allows you to record up to 20 minutes of audio using the phone’s mic. This means you can use it to record a phone conversation or your child’s surroundings if they’re in danger.

How To Track Phone Calls And Text Messages With uMobix

Here’s how to use uMobix as a text message spy app, as well as track phone calls. I wrote this tutorial with the assumption that you’ve already subscribed to uMobix and linked the target Android phone or iPhone to your account.

1. Log into your uMobix account. 

2. Log onto your uMobix dashboard then click Calls under the General section to view the call log on the target device. 

3. After viewing the phone calls, click the Messages option to view the text messages that were sent and received on the target device.    

4. uMobix displays the text messages in a list, to view the full contents of a text message, click Open Chat.

5. It will display the full contents of the text message for you to see.
