How to create custom replies to respond to an incoming call in iPhone

Are default options presented while responding to a call with a text message when busy not good enough for you? If answer is yes then this article will address your problem and let you know how to create custom replies to call in iPhone.

iOS allows you to respond with text to an incoming call when you are busy and not able to pick up the call. Following three default messages are presented : 

  1. Sorry, I can’t talk right now.
  2. I’m on my way.
  3. Can I call you later

Many times it might happen that these three messages are not good enough to send as a response to an incoming call. To overcome this iOS allows you to create your own custom replies in iPhone.

How to create custom replies to call in iPhone

Customize iPhone text messages used while answering to an incoming call by using the following steps :

  • Go to Settings App
  • Select Phone under Settings
  • Under Phone settings Tap on Respond with Text 
  • Here you can change the default replies and create your own custom replies
  • For instance type in “At gym will call you in an hour” and tap on Return

This reply will be added and shown as an option next time when you respond to an incoming call with a text message. Similalry you can change other two default replies.

Note : You can only add/create 3 custom replies and not more than that.
